Northern Arizona University has recently committed to a new environmental policy which expects to save at least 482 gallons a year per student. Arizona, along with many Southwest States, have many problems with water shortages. They constantly have Public Service Announcements for community members to use less water. Northern Arizona University has been on the forefront of many water saving techniques including more desert gardens and fewer grassy areas. This new plan is unprecedented and has never been done in an American college environment. Originally developed by the University of Cairo this technique is similar to the “if its yellow, let it mellow…” technique however is more sanitary.
Northern Arizona students will notice when they get back from Thanksgiving Break that a plant has been placed next to each toilet in the University. This plant is meant for all urine waste so that a flush is not necessary. The plants will be given fresh water every other day by cleaning staff. President Haeger said at a press conference, “It’s just like we’re in the woods, I can’t believe we haven’t thought of this before!” In the long run the new policy should also save the university approximately $3.2 million each year with reduced water costs.

California Educational Budget Fixes*
The California School system has grown to large and has too many students. The state simply cannot support so many students. Many schools have been trying various ways of reducing the number of students including encouraging students to drop-out and telling students the wrong times for classes. None have been as effective as Redwoods High School’s Varsity Russian Roulette team. Russian Roulette is popular on campuses nationwide however it has always been more of an underground sport. Redwoods Principal Rogers has decided due to its effectiveness at eliminating students to put school funds towards it. Governor Schwarzenegger has begun researching this sport and it has been rumored it will be on the ballot in November for schools statewide.

Swine Flu in Orange County, California!!!!

These are what we have heard:

Someone in Lake Forest, CA has Swine Flu.

Someone at El Toro High School has Swine Flu.

Someone at Serrano Intermediate has Swine Flu.

200 students were absent from Serrano Intermediate today.

3 confirmed to have Swine Flu at El Toro High School.

What does this mean??? nothing, because its not that deadly. Just see a doctor. Drink your OJ
